Playing For Change

Playing For Change is a music project created by Mark Johnson that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world. Also, it was created a non-profit organization called the Playing For Change Foundation which builds music schools for children who don’t have the same privileges and opportunities like we, people from developed countries, have.
This project launches every month a new music played by musicians from different countries . From a list that includes “One Love” (Bob Marley), “Biko” (Peter Gabriel) and even “Imagine” (John Lennon), the most popular is undoubtedly “Stand By Me” (Ben E. King, Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller) and you can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-TVg40ExM
All fo you can help this organization by donating a small amount of money, spread its message by creating your own campaigns or whatever, or even (if you have the possibilities) volunteering to go help the foundation.
I also appeal to all musicians to go to the streets on the 22nd of September 2012 and play want you want and then donate the money to the cause. It’s going to be the Playing For Change Day and we should all actively participate.
